Developing teamwork skills in accounting students: is communication apprehension a potential barrier?

Although research and pronouncements have identified the increased relevance of ‘soft’ skills for future professionals in accounting, graduates continue to exhibit deficiencies those skills. Employers practitioners emphasize that dynamic business environment requires more than just technical knowledge; excellent teamwork, communication analytical are also paramount importance. Despite numerous attempts improve teamwork there is evidence responses acknowledged not been successful a lack understanding about constraints could hinder development. Some results point anxiety towards as reason unwillingness interact group situations therefore constraint development, although connection between apprehension development has investigated. Therefore, present study examines relationships self-efficacy self-efficacy, order understand what extent influences beliefs forms potential barrier.
